This job involves leading a team of maintenance workers in a naval facility, where you'll plan schedules, assign tasks, train staff on safety and tools, and ensure all work meets quality and efficiency standards.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on experience in maintenance trades who enjoys supervising others and solving operational problems in a structured government environment.
No specific years of experience are required, but you need to demonstrate strong leadership and practical skills through past work or training.
You will serve as a Maintenance Supervisor I in the Production Division, Public Works Department Little Creek of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE 1) Planning work schedules and sequence of operations for the work force; 2) Assigning work to subordinates orally, by written instructions or electronically through the Computer Facilities Management System; 3) Training subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, safety and other regulations established by the Federal Government; 4) Inspecting work in progress to ensure productivity, efficiency, and the safety of operations.
