The primary purpose of the position is to perform building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties. This job announcement is open to receive applications from the first 30 applicants.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc.
Technical practices (theoretical, precise, and artistic) - Masonry Technical practices (theoretical, precise, and artistic) - Electrical Technical practices (theoretical, precise, and artistic) - Plumbing Technical practices (theoretical, precise, and artistic) - Utilities System Repair-Operator Technical practices (theoretical, precise, and artistic) - Engineering Equipment Operator Use of measuring instruments Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
The major duties of the Maintenance Mechanic position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs preventive maintenance to all plumbing and mechanical equipment and parts.
Installs, modifies, and repairs plumbing fixtures (bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, water fountains, and their associated hardware).
Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution systems and water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers, and lay out of such things as angles, arcs, and circles.
Installs and makes repairs to sewer drain systems (these include septic tanks, drain fields, sewage lift pumps, and related piping).
Constructs, alters, modifies, or repairs a wide range of features in buildings, quarters and other facilities.
Performs painting duties with little oversight and/or review of work during progress or upon completion.
