Requirements

As a Maintenance Repairman 2 assigned to the electrical shop, you will perform technical tasks including the installation and routing of cables, data lines, and electrical wiring.

Utilizing a variety of drills, power tools, and hand tools, you will facilitate the final connections between equipment, data closets, electrical supply boxes, and outlets.

Your responsibilities will extend to the installation, maintenance, and optimization of video recording equipment throughout the interior and exterior of the facility's buildings.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the setup and programming of television units and the repair of their associated connections.

You will also troubleshoot and maintain the infrastructure of the facility's telephone systems.

All work must be conducted in a safe and professional manner, involving the frequent use of ladders and lifts.

Throughout your duties, you will prioritize the safety and security of the facility's residents to maintain a secure and functional environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
