Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of the institution’s structural, electrical and plumbing systems, components, fixtures and appliances.

Your work will involve maintaining the cleanliness of building and recreational areas, performing landscaping duties, and helping with snow removal.

You will perform minor carpentry tasks such as assembling and repairing prefabricated picnic tables, signs, furniture, shelving, partitions and storage bins.

Some of your duties will include painting walls and gates, making minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and performing minor roofing tasks.

Additionally, you will assist skilled trades workers with more complex tasks and boiler maintenance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as needed
  • Free parking!
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
