Requirements

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will perform sub-journey level work by assisting skilled tradespeople or acting as a lead worker for small crews engaged in manual tasks. Your role will involve operating a diverse range of construction, groundskeeping, and maintenance equipment, utilizing practical skills often developed through on-the-job experience. While minor repairs and routine custodial or landscaping duties are carried out with a high degree of independence, more advanced construction and technical projects are completed under the direct guidance of a supervisor or skilled trades worker. Specific responsibilities include maintaining the general cleanliness and upkeep of buildings and recreational areas, performing landscaping tasks, painting, and executing basic electrical and plumbing repairs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
