Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the Facilities Maintenance Branch, G-F Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Overseeing maintenance, repair, installation, and operations in various trade disciplines to include plumbing, welding/sheet metal, boiler operation and maintenance, machinist, galley equipment maintenance, and Water System Operations and Maintenance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws regulations, and policies; plans, assigns, and reviews work of subordinates.

Conditions of Employment continued: -Incumbent may be required to enter manholes, climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, etc. in the performance of their duties.

Must be alert to electrical shock hazards and the possibility of falling on uneven terrain or from heights.

Subjected to extreme temperatures/high humidity, bad weather (6-month typhoon season), unpleasant odors, polluted water, and hard to reach/remote dusty/noisy work sites which may use hazardous oils or chemicals.

-Incumbent is occasionally exposed to bad weather, extreme temperatures, poisonous chemicals, infection, unpleasant odors, polluted water, and hard to reach work sites.

May travel to work sites that are hot, dusty, and noisy, and which my use oils or chemicals in work operations that present various hazards - Incumbent shall, at minimum, be fully qualified/certified in the following within 6 months after assuming the duties of this position: a.

Certified Backflow Prevention Device Tester b.

Confided Space Supervisor Additional Information Continued: Military Spouse Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ).

A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).

To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.

ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
