This part-time maintenance clerk role at a military lodging facility involves handling service requests, processing work orders, managing paperwork, and coordinating repairs for staff and guests.

About the position:This position will be assigned to University Inn, Maintenance Department. This is a Regular Part-Time position. This position is guaranteed 20 hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to correct obvious errors in material being typed or input into a computer program.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), be a qualified typist and experience knowledge of inputting/outputting data in the computer.
Current valid driver's license is required as projects are in different locations of the base.
Work is predominately sedentary, although there is walking, standing, bending, and long periods of working in one position.
Some exposure to hazardous conditions exist as incumbent visits project work-sites. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical assistance for the Maintenance Worker Supervisor in the Maintenance Section of lodging.
Responsible for all Maintenance service calls for lodging staff and customers. Receives, reviews, and processes into written work orders.
Responsible for classifying as either emergency, routine, or minor maintenance and sets priorities in terms of safety, security, mission support, etc. Visits worksite to verify work as needed.
Determines if work required is the responsibility of Civil Engineering or Lodging maintenance team and issues work orders accordingly.
Responsible for the submission of AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, following the status and keeping management informed of any changes during the process.
Ensures customers are notified if their work orders are to be delayed more than 24 hours. Receives mail for the maintenance section and makes appropriate distribution.
Responsible for computerized time clock, time and attendance reports, and makes any corrections if required. Prepares monthly or weekly reports as required by the supervisor.
Ensures all items input into the automated system are accurate and is responsible for accurate reports requested by the supervisor.
Responsible for the input of corrective action on all inspections, monitoring status, provides updates and keeps management informed of any changes.
In absence of the Maintenance Worker Supervisor will ensure day-to-day assignments are accomplished and all projects completed in a timely manner.
Will be required to visit project sites to check on work in progress at the request of the supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned.
