Full Job Description

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position.

This is a Temporary Reimbursable GS-0346-11 LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2197000 and is part of the MO Directorate of Logistics.

This is a non-bargaining position.

SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BELOW MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).

Maximum Military Grade - CPT (O-3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, training, and/or education that demonstrates judgment and/or analytical ability, and experience using computer and automated systems.

GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months of specialized experience that demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge and ability to implement logistics policy programs and procedures, utilizing automated/non-automated systems for the accurate control of logistical planning in support of unit tasked contingency operations; experience in planning, organizing and implementing unit logistics plans and operations; and apply technical expertise with computerized logistics information systems to support deployment operations and exercises.

Major Duties:

  • Maintains oversight of daily, weekly, monthly, and long term system requirements, ARNG Readiness Center equipment modifications, and requirements to meet current workload demands.
  • Budgets for subsistence operations and subsistence requirements, including operational ration ceilings.
  • Develops for the DCSLOG-G4 recommendations, policies, procedures, long range plans, and special projects.
  • Recommends solutions to controversial problems and actions of a precedent-setting nature, to include coordination with major commands and the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence.
  • Participates in field exercise planning sessions, discussing availability of subsistence, budgets, issue of operational rations and ARNG support to exercises.
  • Serves as Chairperson and as a voting member of The Adjutant Generals Food Service Management Board.
  • Monitors the AFMIS to ensure reporting requirements from local, DA, NGB, and vendors are timely and contain accurate and formatted data.
  • Works daily with functional users and technical personnel to identify and resolve operational and technical problems, and to ensure flow of data and procedures are the most efficient possible.
  • Assists and coordinates with functional specialists in the identification of operational requirements and the conversion of these requirements into automated systems documentation.
  • Performs extensive consultation services and provides guidance to functional specialists on the maintenance, evaluation, documentation and standardization of requirements and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
