Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting and managing automated logistics systems for the Army National Guard, including troubleshooting technical issues, setting up computers, and coordinating hardware for supply and maintenance operations.

It requires working with various teams to plan and resolve problems in logistics programs across state activities.

A good fit would be someone with military or logistics experience who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable collaborating with diverse groups.

Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1233P02/D1232P02 and is part of the CO MATES 64, National Guard.

Military Grade: E-7 thru W-5 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.

An applicants RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3.

Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks and comply with regulations, laws, or practices. 4.

Experience which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). 5.

Experience planning and organizing work assignments. GS-11 Must have at least 12 months of experience in each of the following: 1.

Experience which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. 2.

Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. 3.

Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. 4.

Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.

Major Duties:

GS-09: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state/territory activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

Utilizes an extensive knowledge of logistics programs/operations and a clear understanding of automated systems to manage projects and programs for systems integration of CSS automation.

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves technical problems identified in trouble tickets and performs initial setup of specified Automated Logistics Information System computers to include loading software, configuring modem and network card(s), assigning Internet Protocol IP addresses with correct subnet, connectivity to the network, and completing technical inspections.

Analyzes requirements, manages, and coordinates hardware Automated Logistics Information System and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation, and replacement of systems.

Represents the Supervisor Logistics Management Specialist/DCSLOG on DCSIM Configuration Control Boards CCBs. Performs other duties as assigned.

GS-11: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

Serves as an advisor to the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist on all Combat Service Support CSS Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.

Serves as a Systems Administrator for all Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs and as the technical expert within the state/territory responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for serviced Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.

Serves as the primary point of contact for Functional Administrators and users of the serviced database.

Analyzes requirements, establishes programs/procedures ensuring effective coordination on CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation, and life cycle management of devices that are directed to be managed at unit/state level.

Serves as the primary point of contact on all CSS automation continuity of operations plan COOP, development, and execution. Performs other duties as assigned.
