Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting logistics operations for the U.S.

Army Reserve by conducting staff visits, reviewing supply and maintenance policies, and analyzing reports to ensure smooth management of resources.

About the Position: his is a Military Technician position under the 88th Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity 108 located in Bismarck, North Dakota.

This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducts periodic and special staff visits throughout the organization.

2) Reviews policy and regulations concerning supply and maintenance. 3) Reviews and analyzes logistical management reports.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics, Management, or Marketing.

OR Combination of education and experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
