Full Job Description

This position is located in Facilities and Logistics Branch, Acquisition, and Logistics Services Division of PFPA.

The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing a variety of logistical and operational support functions.

Requires integrated application of policies and procedures across several functional areas to ensure the efficient and effective use of agency resources.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-7 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.

Applicants for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) applying extensive logistics procedures and operations to perform support assignments; 2) providing advice on logistics related matters; and 3) communicating orally and in writing to coordinate logistics processes with stakeholders.

OR One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. OR I have a combination of specialized experience and education.

I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12.

Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a primary authority for facility operations support, responsible for managing service contract oversight, maintenance coordination, and overall facility compliance.

Oversees the full lifecycle of accountable property, including acquisition, accountability, utilization, inventory, and disposal, ensuring all actions comply with federal property regulations and are ready for audit.

The incumbent ensures compliance with all GSA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and internal agency requirements by conducting utilization studies, preparing cost analyses, and making recommendations for vehicle acquisition, assignment, maintenance, and disposal.

Oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and secure receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control of all supplies and materials.
