Full Job Description

You will serve as the Very Low Frequency (VLF) Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) in support of the Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office Program Office (PMA-271) and is located in the Mission Systems Group, Logistics Department, Special Mission Programs Division, and Special Mission Systems Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Examples of Specialized Experience includes: 1) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned aviation weapon systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2) Planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture; 3) Assisting in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information to achieve program goals and objectives; 4) Identifying, planning, and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e.

acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements; and 5) Participating in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks.

  • You will assist with the oversight of all logistics matters for the development and integration of Take Charge and Move Out Mission (TACAMO) and related systems for the E-130J and E6B.
  • You will develop and implement product support and maintenance requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
  • You will determine best approach in planning and expending resources and funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture.
  • You will identify, plan, and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total system’s life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
  • You will develop and review program technical documentation to provide input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements.
  • You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
  • You will develop and implement maintenance capability establishment as required to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost.
  • You will participate in risk management process and early identification of system integration risks.
  • You will provide technical analyses on data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation.
  • You interface with internal and external contacts to exchange information, resolve conflicts, prove and justify significant deviations from established logistics policy, and defend necessary modifications to previously approved plans, etc.
  • You will accomplish other duties assigned.
