Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing and updating technical manuals for Navy aircraft maintenance and operations, ensuring that changes from fleet feedback and system upgrades are accurately incorporated into publications.
You'll work on a team supporting E-2 and C-2 aircraft, handling quality checks, responding to user reports, and planning document timelines.

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist on the Technical Publications team within the E-2/C-2 Multi-Platform Fleet Support Team Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
For the GS-12 level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ) Mastery of Interactive and Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs/ETMs), Arbor text, Adobe InDesign, extensive mark-up language (XML), EAGLE Publishing System and lnterleaf programs/software used in the development and fleet use of NAVAIR maintenance and operational manuals, and have the ability to use these programs, and various text, graphics and scanning programs, in order to perform quality assurance inspection of technical data to ensure source data (TPDRs, TMSDRs, IRACs, redlines, etc.) is incorporated correctly into the technical manuals.
2) Incorporating technical data changes into NAVAIR Manuals.
3) Evaluating current and proposed technical changes to aircraft weapon systems and planning and executing integration and incorporation of these requirements throughout all affected maintenance and operational publications.
4) Evaluating fleet requirements by discussing fleet concerns, fleet Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDRs), messages and publication problems highlighted in Fleet Publication Review Conferences by end users.
5) Managing receipt and response to all TPDRs submitted to the FST or IPT, providing timely and effective resolution to fleet inquiries.
6) Providing milestones and delivery dates regarding development of technical documents for specific weapons systems and subsystems.
7) Providing scheduling information and other pertinent data necessary for inclusion of technical data requirements in logistics support planning documents.
