Full Job Description

This position is located in the Facilities, Acquisition & Logistics Services Division under the Mission Integration Directorate of PFPA.

The employee prepares comprehensive guidelines for the replacement, use, care, and safety of motor vehicle resources, as well as the responsibilities of employees who operate motor vehicles for official use.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the civilian drug-testing program.

As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is to (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if required, submit to urinalysis testing.

The selectee must sign statements acknowledging the position is identified as a TDP. The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE.

Mission essential employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergency situations (e.g., building closure due to power outage) causing disruptions of government operations, and are required to maintain contact with their supervisor during any dismissal or closure situation unless specifically excused by their supervisor.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: applying knowledge of vehicle and supply management regulations, procedures, and operations; and applying knowledge in cataloging data, updating equipment and maintaining administrative files; and applying techniques of material handling and equipment storage.

OR Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., (if related).

OR A combination of doctoral education and specialized experience.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Coordinates with PFP A Headquarters, General Services Administration (GSA), and PFPA Directorates for the exchange or purchase of new vehicles for the fiscal year.

Initiates and follows up on all equipment/property matters including annual inventory of property accounts.

The employee is responsible for assisting in commodity management of all F&LS supplies to include, but not limited to, property book management, support of daily operations, and maintenance of equipment.

Performs a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies, equipment for the Agency.

Maintains electronic and paper files and records for all police equipment and uniforms issued or replaced to PFPA police officers and emergency responders.

The employee receives and accounts for items delivered to PFPA warehouse operations for dissemination to the Directorates' supply coordinators.

The employee develops and coordinates office configurations to maximize space utilization, including security and other facility requirements.

The employee serves as technical researcher for Transportation and Equipment {T &E) and submits requests for items to be purchased.

Provides logistical support for PFP A police, emergency responders, and Agency support personnel in Agency dry cleaning operations and the issuance of police officer sustainment uniforms and duty equipment.

Coordinates logistical support with outside agencies both local and federal for special events on the Pentagon and within the NCR where PFPA is tasked with force protection operations such as the Army IO-Miler Run, Marine Corps Marathon, Operation Rolling Thunder, and the Pentagon 9/11 Anniversary Remembrance.

Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the various contract associated with assigned programs.
