Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading logistics support for advanced military weapons programs, like small bombs and bomb racks, by managing budgets, contracts, and teams to keep everything running smoothly for the Navy.
You'll act as a key contact for high-level leaders and other defense groups to ensure the programs meet everyone's needs.

You will serve as the Assistant Program Manager of Logistics (APML) for the Small Diameter Bombs II (SDBII) and Bomb Rack Unit 61 (BRU-61) programs located at Eglin AFB, Florida.
You will be assigned to the Sustainment Program Management & Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Leading logistics and sustainment efforts for major defense acquisition programs, serving as the primary liaison to senior leadership, joint services, and defense agency stakeholders; 2) Managing personnel, budgets, and financial controls to prioritize tasking, establish funding and workloads, and allocate manpower resources for complex programs; 3) Developing logistics sustainment documentation and testing criteria in the SETR process, and overseeing the development and execution of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives; and 4) Managing contracts through the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and performance monitoring to ensure product capabilities meet joint and multi-service needs.
