The Department of State is seeking a Licensing and Certification Evaluator to provide support in evaluating and approving licensure applications for the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs’ (BPOA) Boards, ensuring BPOA licensure operations are conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations, Board policies and procedures.

As a Licensing and Certification Evaluator, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations of applications and reviewing college transcripts or notarized documents to ensure that the identified experience, certification(s), or educational requirements are within compliance for licensure eligibility.
Strong attention to detail is crucial within this role, as you will be conducting continuing education (CE) audits, evaluating CE courses and providers, as well as reviewing applications to ensure acceptable established standards are met.
Work also involves researching complex application documentation.
You will have the opportunity to respond to applicant inquiries regarding the application process and requests for information relating to requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 50% upon successful completion of probation period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
