This job involves reviewing applications from insurance companies and related entities to decide if they can operate in Pennsylvania, working with officials to handle licensing and business changes, and advising others on insurance rules.

You'll work mostly in an office with some option to work from home a few days a week.

Within this role, you will be tasked with evaluating applications from entities seeking to be registered as surplus lines insurers, risk retention groups, risk purchasing groups, pharmacy benefit managers, auditing entities, reinsurers, and other entities under the jurisdiction of the Insurance Department.
Work also involves collaborating with company officials and representatives to complete licensing and corporate transaction matters.
You will have the opportunity to provide guidance to Insurance Department personnel, state regulators, other Commonwealth agencies, and the general public regarding licensing and insurance holding company matters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
