This job involves reviewing liquor license and permit applications for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, checking legal documents and eligibility to approve or deny them, and creating training programs for staff on licensing procedures.

As a Licensing Specialist, you will establish items to be covered for the various classification levels in conjunction with the Director's Office and integrate procedure changes into refresher training outlines.
You will also develop and conduct initial licensing program procedural training for clerical, technical and specialist staff, as well as all refresher training for updated or new procedures as directed.
This role will be responsible for examining and reviewing all types of transfer and new applications to determine correct execution, eligibility, and subsequent approval or denial of applications.
Work includes reviewing and determining acceptability of legal documents, such as agreements of sale, partnership agreements, leases, court orders, franchise agreements, IRS seizures, bankruptcy orders, opinions, liens and writs.
You will have the opportunity to examine pertinent files for complaints, convictions, citations, suspension, appeals, hearings, and any other irregularities or pending action which may affect the eligibility of the applicant and/or premises as well as for any other pending applications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days a week, with 1 day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg.
This position currently reports to the office on Wednesdays.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

You must pass a background investigation.
