This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, CAMHC #107.
As the Licensed Practical Nurse, working under general supervision, you will provide psychiatric nursing services to Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) patients and to support the improvement of the medical/mental health of persons served at Columbia Area Mental Health Center (CAMHC).
Ensure the Clinic's medication storage area follows regulations required by the Board of Pharmacy. Ensure that there is an adequate system of medication control and accountability in place.
Ensure all medications received from the pharmacy are accounted for and logged in a timely manner. Ensure medications are appropriately stored and medication storage area is neat, clean, and secure.
Inform the Nurse Director of any continued discrepancies of stock medication that need to be ordered or is not being sent for a patient in a timely manner.
Successful completion of an approved nursing education program for professional nursing or an equivalent course of study from an approved nursing education program per Section 10-33-32 of the South Carolina Nurse Licensure Act.
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
