Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

This position is located in the Resident Services, Recreation Division at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport MS.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Specialized Experience for the GS-09: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Specialized Experience for the GS-09: - Experience in interpreting and adapting to guidelines (e.g.
library and agency information policies, regulations, operating procedures, and cataloging rules and formats, etc); AND - Experience maintaining up-to-date information for the interests and needs of a geriatric community.
OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's in library science or equivalent graduate degree, e.g., LL.B. or J.D., related to the position.
OR A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

(Graduate education beyond the first 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours can be combined with GS-7 level experience) SPECIAL NOTE: Long-term care experience and/or interacting with geriatric patients is highly desired.
