Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage food and supply operations for Navy ships, especially Littoral Combat Ships, by handling orders, deliveries, inventory, and improvements to make sure everything runs smoothly.
A good fit would be someone with experience in logistics or supply chain work, particularly in military or food services, who enjoys problem-solving and guiding others in a team setting.
You will serve as a Lead Supply Management Specialist in the Logistics Support Team of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1.
Utilize a knowledge of food service afloat procedures and prime vendor requirements to function as a technical authority; 2.
Apply new concepts, theories to resolve supply problems not solvable by accepted methods and techniques; 3.
Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of food service operations and develop recommendations for improvement of program operations;4.
Support the planning for new or far reaching supply program requirements for new naval weapon systems, Littoral Combat Ships (LCS), utilizing a knowledge of DLA, Navy, and/or prime vendor supply databases and policies/procedures; 5.
Provide guidance and support for other supply employees performing subsistence supply support to afloat units.
