This job is for a lead security guard at a U.S.
Army base in Fort Bliss, Texas, where you'll supervise a team, control access to the installation, and respond to security threats or emergencies with minimal oversight.
It involves checking IDs, inspecting vehicles and people, and using crime databases to keep the base safe.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Shift Leader who is an assistant to the Guard Shift Supervisor.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing on-the-job security guard training to coworkers; safeguarding personnel, property, and/or technologies against threats such as theft, unlawful entry, damage, and destruction; verifying identification and/or credentials to grant access to a protected area; and inspecting containers, personal property, and/or documents on private, commercial, and/or government vehicles.
