Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to develop and enforce security policies, conduct inspections, and manage electronic security systems for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
It requires supervising staff, delivering training programs, and ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations.

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility in Irving, TX.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 (one) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Preparing, analyzing, formulating, developing, reviewing, and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with Executive Orders, Federal laws, and regulations.
Conducting security surveys, inspections, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, Presidential Directives, Executive Orders, inter-agency directives, and agency policies.
Managing and overseeing Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including product testing, risk-based recommendations, and ensuring systems provide appropriate levels of protection.
Providing administrative and technical supervision, including planning and assigning work, evaluating employee performance, identifying training needs, and addressing performance issues.
Overseeing the development and delivery of comprehensive security awareness programs tailored to specialized training needs for diverse workforce levels.

This position serves within the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility's Security Operations Directorate.
The position serves as a Supervisory Security Program Compliance Coordinator, providing guidance and oversight in ensuring the compliance, accountability and proper documentation of electronic security systems within a designated area of responsibility.
This position starts at a salary of $136,736.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $177,762.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
This position serves as a Supervisor, providing guidance and instruction to employees on work-related and administrative issue.
Major duties for the position include: Providing administrative and technical supervision to a team of Security Program Compliance Coordinators, including assigning work, evaluating performance, addressing training needs, and managing personnel actions.
Developing, reviewing, and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with DHS regulations, Federal laws, and Executive Orders, and providing expert advice to senior agency officials on security-related matters.
Directing security surveys, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and documented. Issue comprehensive reports and analyses to senior officials.
Overseeing the development and delivery of security awareness programs, ensuring consistent guidance on security policies and procedures across CBP entities.
Representing the agency on intra- and inter-agency committees and groups addressing security policy and procedural issues.
Communicating and justifying security recommendations to senior officials and stakeholders.
