Summary

This job involves leading and supporting the daily operations of a fitness center on an Army base, including cleaning equipment, assisting guests with workouts, handling check-ins and payments, and ensuring the facility stays safe and welcoming.

Key Requirements

  • Availability for rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Ability to instruct and monitor recreation aids in opening, closing, and maintenance procedures

Full Job Description

This position is located at Tominac Fitness Center, Hunter Army Airfield, GA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.

Must be able to work rotating shifts during the hours of 0600 (6:00 am) - 1900 (7:00 PM). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must demonstrate the ability to offer excellent guest service.

Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. Major Duties:

  • Instructs, monitors, and assists other Recreation Aids in proper opening procedures, maintenance, and standards required to keep the Fitness Center in tip-top shape to ensure guest satisfaction. Works as a receptionist and facility worker.
  • Responsible for cleaning fitness machines, fitness, locker rooms and pool areas. Must be familiar with the operation of all fitness equipment and be able to explain use to guests.
  • Is familiar with the working of the pool, sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi operations, ensures safety and usage is monitored, and identifies problems and informs supervisor of malfunctions.
  • Opens and closes facility daily. Utilizes automated booking system for personal training appointments. Responsible for money handling and maintaining internal control practices as a cashier.
  • Reports any problems to the Fitness Facility Manager as soon as possible in order to maintain a high quality service to guests. Performs other duties as assigned.
