Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading and maintaining a fitness center on an Army base in Georgia, including cleaning equipment and areas, helping guests use machines safely, and managing the pool and sauna.

It's a hands-on role focused on providing great service to military personnel and their families.

A good fit would be someone reliable and customer-oriented with basic knowledge of fitness facilities and a willingness to get certified in first aid.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to provide excellent guest service and interact positively with visitors
  • Familiarity with operating and explaining the use of fitness equipment
  • Knowledge of pool, sauna, and whirlpool operations, including safety monitoring
  • Responsibility for daily cleaning of fitness machines, locker rooms, and pool areas
  • Capability to open and close the facility, including managing lights, TVs, music, and stocking supplies
  • Obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 6 months of hire
  • Relevant experience in fitness center or recreational facility maintenance

Full Job Description

This position is located at Tominac Fitness Center, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must demonstrate the ability to offer excellent guest service.

Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. Major Duties:

  • Is responsible for cleaning of fitness machines, fitness, locker rooms and pool areas.
  • Must be familiar with the operation all fitness equipment and be able to explain use to guests.
  • Is familiar with the working of the pool, sauna, ensures safety and usage is monitored, and identifies problems and informs supervisor of malfunctions.
  • Opens and closes facility daily which includes turning on and off lights, TVs, music, steam room, sauna whirlpool, stocking towels, cleaning, etc.
