Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading planning and oversight for mechanical repairs and upgrades on Navy ships, ensuring projects stay on track with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
You'll guide a team, review technical plans, inspect vessels, and advise on contracts as a key expert in ship machinery.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in ship maintenance who enjoys leading projects in a military setting.
You will serve as a Lead Production Controller (Mechanical) in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Producing effective cost estimating and material identification procurement, AND using shipboard mechanical systems repair techniques and shipboard modernization processes.
