Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

GS-12: At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in Federal service providing legal, technical, and clerical support to attorneys; providing technical advice to legal support staff; assisting attorneys and managing legal support staff in organizing voluminous case information; and performing a variety of complex administration support relating to the management and administrative support of the division.
Major Duties:
This position is located in the United States Attorney's Officer (USAO), Eastern district of Kentucky.
If selected for this position you will service as the Lead Legal Administrative Specialist for the Criminal Division, Fraud Division, and London and Ft. Mitchell Branch Offices.
Typical duties include but are not limited to: Serving as a technical resource for team members on all aspects of criminal legal support functions, including but not limited to docketing, case file management, discovery preparation and management, trial preparation and presentation, and legal research and writing.
Developing, providing, and arranging for training of team members on all aspects of criminal legal support functions.
Serving as the primary specialist responsible for managing incoming and outgoing discovery in the Office's most complex criminal and civil cases, many of which involve voluminous discovery, multiple defendants, multiple jurisdictions, and/or multiple law enforcement or client agencies.
Working closely with Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) to provide a range of case development and activities during the investigative, pre-trial, and trial phases of the most complex criminal and civil cases.
Conducting complex factual and legal research in legal and non-legal databases in support of investigations and cases.
