This job involves leading a team of engineers and experts in developing and maintaining sonobuoys and anti-submarine warfare systems for naval aircraft, ensuring these technologies work effectively in underwater detection missions.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer with deep knowledge of military tech, strong leadership skills, and the ability to guide projects from design to production.

You will serve as a either a LEAD GENERAL ENGINEER, LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER, or LEAD ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the DIGITIAL ANALYTICS INFRASTRUCTURE AND TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT (DAiTA) GROUP, ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, AIRBORNE ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE BATTLESPACE DIVISION, ASW PRODUCTION ENGINEERING BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to explain knowledge of sonobuoys and sonobuoy production and manufacturing processes; 2) Possessing knowledge of airborne Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, technologies, underwater acoustic systems/sub-systems, and operational knowledge of the ASW Warfare mission area; 3) Serving as a technical subject matter expert on sonobuoy development, integration and life cycle sustainment for ASW systems and associated components and equipment employed by fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft; 4) Performing requirements definition, functional analysis and allocation, interface definition, architecture, design, implementation, and configuration control; and 5) Utilizing communication skills (verbal and written), coaching and mentoring skills, conflict resolution skills, and negotiations regarding technical and organizational challenges.
