This role involves leading financial planning, budgeting, and analysis for Navy aviation programs, ensuring funds are used correctly and teams stay on track.
It requires overseeing budgets, reviewing program performance, and advising senior leaders on financial issues.
A good fit would be someone with strong experience in government finance, leadership skills, and the ability to handle complex problems under pressure.
You will serve as a Lead Financial Management Analyst in the Resource and Allocation Division of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Mastery of financial concepts, policies and regulations related to Operations and Maintenance, Navy (O&M, N) Labor and Support budgeting and financial administration, including an expert knowledge of relevant financial reporting systems.
2) Ability to effectively plan and execute budgets, forecast long-term funding requirements, and to lead program execution reviews to analyze impacts and resolve financial variances, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
3)Capability and experience in leading teaming activities to effectively coordinate budget and execution tasks in support of mission requirements.
Ability to develop timely managerial communications relative to program health, verifying the validity of financial data.
4) Experience ensuring program compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, acting as a liaison with internal / external entities regarding program budget and financial management, and conducting evaluation of findings and implementing recommended alternatives for action.
5) Flexibility and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recommend and implement new methodologies and toolsets to adapt to unconventional complications not covered by existing laws, regulations, or policies.
