Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.

Specialized experience is defined as: providing technical leadership and expert guidance for the full range of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs; OR developing and delivering training to the workforce and serving as an authoritative consultant to management on resolving sensitive and complex EEO matters; OR providing advisory services on complex cases, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing processes for reasonable accommodation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets pertinent policy and regulatory issuances relating to EEO in the federal service.
  • Provides expert advice and technical guidance to senior level managers regarding complaints of discrimination, possible Agency liability, and avenues of resolution.
  • Administers Agency wide EEO complaint system and ensures complaints are processed in accordance with Federal and Agency regulations.
  • Provides consultative support to management officials and other stakeholders to facilitate early, informal resolution of disputes and prevent escalation, consistent with applicable requirements.
  • Leads and serves as the technical point of contact supporting the Agency RA process consistent with applicable requirements and Agency procedures.
