About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Facility.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience and ability to safely use, control and clean an assortment of common hand and simple power equipment and be able to consult manufacturer operator manuals when needed.
Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps.
Must be physically able to left and carry medium to have objects up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach and work awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Major Duties:
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: March 5, 2026, March 15, 2026, and closing on March 25, 2026. Announcement will close once position is filled.
The purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks involving the use of common hand tolls, simple power equipment, and simple cleaning tasks in all Outdoor Recreation Areas.
Sets up for special functions from oral instruction or diagram. Loads and unloads heave boxes, cartons, chairs, tables and other equipment by and truck or dolly.
Opens boxes using crowbars and cuts band using shears, stacks boxes and cartons where directed. Moves and arranges furniture as directed.
Shovels dirt, sand, and rocks to upkeep area in an acceptable appearance. Rakes leaves and brush, upkeeps landscape as needed.
Operates hand tools and simple power equipment such as hand lawnmowers, walking-type and riding power mowers, hand-saws, hatchets and clippers to perform tasks such as mowing lawns and clearing small trees and brushes.
May use a shovel or dig ditches and trenches where soil is not compacted and grading and sloping is not required, or to fill holes, level bumps and low places, etc.
Washes and waxes cars, truck and van by hand or power buffer. Keeps showers and restrooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions. Sweeps, scrubs, mops and waxes floors.
Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, urinals and toilet bowls, showers, shower curtains, mirrors, sinks and water fountains.
Cleans offices, store rooms, corridors, stairways, facilities and other areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
