DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Confiscate and dispose of illegal Bandit Signs off City Right of Way
- Performs basic maintenance, routine cleaning of service vehicle
- May operate basic power and hand tool equipment.
- Operate City of Houston vehicles to and from work locations.
- Performs additional miscellaneous assignments as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position routinely requires stooping, bending, and/or lifting of items of 30 - 80 pounds with occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces.
There are routine exposures to significant levels of heat, cold, moisture and air pollution.
The position may involve periodic exposure to chemical substances and physical trauma of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises, and minor burns.
This is a Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier III Level.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Very fundamental levels of the ability to read, write and follow simple oral instructions as might normally be acquired through up to 8 years of formal schooling.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSNo experience is required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTSMay require a valid Texas Class C driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving.
