Job Description
Summary
This job involves traveling around West Virginia to check that contractors, heating/cooling systems, and plumbing work follow state rules and safety standards.
You'll work from home but need to drive to job sites for inspections, enter data accurately, and learn on the job.
It's a good fit for someone reliable with a driver's license who likes hands-on work and doesn't mind being on the road.

- This posting is for an inspector with the WV Division of Labor, Licensing section.
- Headquartered at your home, you will have an area of assignment to travel within the state to inspect compliance with WV Code Chapter 30 Article 42, West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act; WV Code Chapter 21 Article 16, Regulation of Heating, Ventilating & Cooling Work; and WV Code Chapter 21 Article 14, Supervision of Plumbing Work.
- Hands-on training will be provided.
- Equipment will be provided.
- Accurate data entry into databases and reports is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
