This job involves helping the Air Force manage and organize information to make operations smoother and more efficient, including using tools to track customer relationships and oversee technology systems throughout their lifecycle.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series, 0301.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Examples of specialized experience includes ???????knowledge of a military agency's functions policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, pertinent, laws, regulations, precedents, major issues, program goals and objectives, and administrative operations.

Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques as well as measurement of data to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations to include adapting or developing new or modified methods, Knowledge of Knowledge Management (KM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) concepts, processes, tools, foundation technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

Knowledge of configuration management principles and techniques to include planning, identification and evaluation to provide technical and administrative direction and oversight of information technology assets during the system development life cycle.

Knowledge of information technology program management theories, principles, and practices to carry out responsibility for knowledge information systems and programs including life-cycle processes, development, testing, acquisition, deployment, and support.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.

One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a military agency's functions, policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, pertinent, laws, regulations, precedents, major issues, program goals and objectives, and administrative operations.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

The primary purpose of this position is: Responsible for content management for knowledge-based systems supporting Air Education and Training Command's and the Command Integration Center's programs.

Promotes knowledge sharing through the organization's operational business processes and systems, by strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integrations among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems.

Represents the Command Integration Center (CIC) at various meetings and on working groups.

Plans, organizes, and carries out the activities of the AETC/CIC KM, ensuring that KM systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Conducts specialized information research to support Command Integration Center initiatives for Air Force and AETC-wide Recruiting, Accessions, Flying and Technical Training, Education, and Development programs.

Directs and coordinates the Command Integration Center systems KM programs. Represents AETC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
