Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping military leaders make decisions on targeting threats in South and Central America, coordinating actions against key networks, and creating plans and procedures for operations at the United States Southern Command in Miami.
It supports a high-level command working with various U.S. and international partners to strengthen regional relationships.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes facilitating military decision-making processes to develop feasible courses of action to identify threat networks; orchestrating the coordination of operational execution of actions focused against priority threat networks and associated targets; developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Battle Rhythm, Scheduling, Standardization of Briefing Products, Summary Messages, Fragmentary Orders, Staff Papers and Provide subject matter expertise of Joint Fire Support (JP 3-09), and Joint Targeting (JP 3-60) during the planning and execution of military operations during crisis and steady state operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
