Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Provides network design support, identification of installation requirements, testing, full implementation IOEE circuits, telecommunications support, hardware support and maintenance, software support and maintenance.

- Provides operational and emergency IOEE/NIPRNET/SIPRNET support; participating in the response to and resolution of Information Assurance (IA) incidents in accordance with policy on intrusions.

- Monitors network activity, isolating areas consuming significant amount of resources, determining the cause and identifying where within the environment optimization efforts should be concentrated - Analyzes performance and availability measures for the DLA IT technical infrastructure and related support services and recommending improved cost and operational performance of systems support software and telecommunications components.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Responsible for network engineering and design architecture, monitoring and asset management of all network infrastructure devices and services worldwide.
  • Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
  • Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
  • Coaches the team in selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices procedures and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
  • Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
