About the Position: The Primary purpose of the position is to assist the Information Assurance Manager (IAM), in carrying out and maintaining the Information Assurance (IA) daily mission plans and the USNH Naples Domain Security Program, to be in full compliance with all DoD, DHA, and Federal policies, procedures and standards.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service in carrying out and maintaining the Information Assurance (IA) mission plans to be in full compliance with policies, procedures and standards; administering of computer systems through the proper planning and coordination, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of legacy and new software and hardware.

OR Substitution of education: Successfully completion of a Ph.D.

or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the USNH-Naples Information Security Program
  • Enforce the approved enhancements, software controls, policy and procedures for various computer systems to ensure appropriate levels of security.
  • Applies security patches, hotfixes, upgrades, and firmware updates to all workstations, servers, printers and network hardware as required.
  • Assist users and technical support staff personnel to identify, analyze and resolve problems with applications, operating systems or hardware as they related to Information Security.
  • Performs network administration duties including backups, solving network problems, maintaining appropriate security environment including passwords and permissions, maintains a large number of network and mail system user accounts
  • Oversee the planning, direction, execution, of installations, and repair/troubleshooting of computers and peripheral hardware and software.
