Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves providing hands-on IT support to diagnose and fix technical issues for users, managing computer systems and devices, and ensuring everything stays secure, especially for sensitive naval information.

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC) in the Waterfront Field Support (10942), Waterfront & Productions Information Technology (IT) Support Division (1094), Information Technology & Cybersecurity (ITACS) Office (109) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying information technology concepts, principles, methods, and practices sufficient to install, manage and administer various workstation and peripheral devices and systems.
Experience troubleshooting, modifying and mitigating complex problems to improve IT systems and minimize impact to critical customer services and project goals.
Experience with systems security methods and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate security measures are applied as required.
Experience in applying IT problem management methods and practices to evaluate the possibility of applying new methods to resolve customer issues or enhance customer's ability to successfully accomplish their mission goals.
