Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing and securing IT systems for a Navy command, including setting up security programs, handling user accounts, and ensuring compliance with federal and military rules to protect sensitive information.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, developing and implementing organizational level information assurance and information security programs and strategies, e.g., the organization security training program.
Experience applying project management principles methods, and practices including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments.
Experience managing assigned projects; communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel; and preparing briefings to senior management officials on complex IT issues.
Experience applying asset inventory management and tracking methodologies sufficient to minimize inefficient use of IT assets within HSC-2.
Experience applying knowledge of NMCI and utilizing Navy tools such as Information Strike Force (ISF) Tools, Department of the Navy Application Database and Management System (DADMS), Experience knowledge of the Requirement to Award Process (RAP) Tool, and the Navy Enterprise Tool (NET) sufficient to input, request, maintain or move HSC-2 computer resources and data and provide assistance to all HSC-2 as required.
