Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves providing expert IT support to Navy personnel, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and advising on customer service problems in a military setting.
It requires hands-on work with systems and networks to ensure they run smoothly.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and experience in IT customer support, ideally in a government or technical environment.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
The employee must obtain and maintain required DOD 8570 IA training requirement certification, at a minimum "Network+", A+ or SSCP for this designated Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I and required to obtain certification at Level II within 6 months of accepting the position.
