Full Job Description

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department (MX), Model Based Engineering & Analysis Division (MXM), Mission Integration Branch (MXML) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and overseeing cybersecurity systems or projects to identify and resolve technically complex IT problems for the success and efficiency of programs.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will develop and manage the PEO ISW-C NIFC Cyber Security Concept of Operations and ensure it is provided to individual supporting programs.
  • You will be responsible for provision of guidance to programs regarding cybersecurity system requirements, instructions and policies, security support tools, and security support systems.
  • You will be responsible for collaboration across field activities, research laboratories and contractor functional-diverse teams to analyze and develop cybersecurity solutions to resolve complex problems and engineering/networking challenges.
  • You will assist the IWS-C NIFC Program Office and working groups with cybersecurity project planning, execution, assessment and closure of operational and experimental test events to ensure program objectives are met.
  • You will generate and present Executive-level briefings serving as the cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert providing strategy, areas for improvement and opportunities to include cost, schedule and performance.
