The Division of Technology Services (DTS) has an exciting position working with our digital transparency team as a senior project manager supporting software development.
This position will support our work on the statewide business and MyUtah (citizen portal) and other projects requested by DTS and executive branch agencies.
The candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, building project plans, establishing staffing and resource assignments, managing overall progress, stakeholder reporting, and adjusting to the business needs of a given project.
This position will support the work of several teams in the chief technology office working on interrelated projects that have both agency and enterprise-wide impact with significant complexity.

This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office and telework days, 2 days a week required in office and any mandatory in-office meetings.
The Office location is at the Taylorsville State Office Building, 4315 S 2700 W, Taylorsville, UT.

TheState's environment is a highly optimized blend of systems responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing millions of data elements every day.
Plans and manages a portfolio of projects. Writes and discusses project plan(s), recommendations and findings. Supports products offered and used by citizen experience teams.
Coordinates resources to support related projects; provides assistance in resolving problems; recommends system changes and establishes project priorities.
Coordinates projects and ensures adequate administrative controls, quality, and procedural efficiencies are in place.
Meets with agency representatives to determine needs and challenges of related projects.
Meets and confers with management, users, and contract providers to resolve problems and coordinate services to support projects.
Works with product owners and team members to set goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results.
Leads project status meetings and references or updates project tools used by stakeholders, which may vary based on agency or need of a given project.
Assists with determining feature improvements and updates to service offerings.
Serve as the Scrum Master for artificial intelligence and digital transparency teams.
Articulate agile project management concepts to team members and stakeholders.
Be detail-oriented in their work.
Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, multiple on-going projects as well as operational tasks flowing into the group.
Act as a primary point of contact and gatekeeper of the tasks and projects so that work is prioritized and scheduled prior to being worked.
Experience in project management and related principles, theories, and practices.
Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen and understand; present information and ideas verbally and in written form with clear understanding. Focus on factual information.

Experience with online project management and collaboration tools, with a preference for Jira and Lucid products.
Experience facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Employment contingent on passing a drug screening and a background check.
May be required to work outside of normal business hours.
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
