Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Expert skill in applying Application Security and project management policies, principals, methods and practices to: define project resources, milestones and deliverables; develop project plans and schedules.

- Lead and influence multi-disciplined project teams.

- Expert skill in auditing practices to include the responsibility of audit notices of finding and recommendation (NFRs), corrective action plans (CAPs), prepared by client requests (PBCs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Provides project management oversight for the implementation of DLA life, health, and safety applications for police, fire and emergency services
  • Assists with software and IT service acquisitions and technology management systems.
  • Monitors and tracks technical projects using ServiceNow.
  • Facilitates engagement between customers and technical subject matter experts to identify and document opportunities, assesses impacts, and mitigates risks to development plans.
  • Develops and/or employs tools and methods to track progress throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Evaluate the status and progress of work accomplished in terms of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in achieving objectives.
  • Represents the agency at meetings and conferences involving senior level personnel throughout DoD, other government agencies and private industry.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the accomplishments of requirements, ensuring priorities are established, coordinated, and published to reflect the agreed upon priorities
  • Provides support in achieving DLA audit readiness goals and objectives to include direct support to audit readiness teams through the completion of specific tasks and deliverables.
  • Leads and manages the development and execution of focused Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for each project.
  • Maintains communications and situational awareness of project scope, schedules, resource requirements, and status with all stakeholders to include: project team members, team member supervisors, senior management, and a wide array of DLA customers.
