Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing IT program-related briefings up and out to Senior Program leads as well as external stakeholders.

Provides expert technical management and oversight within the Information Technology Program Management, Mission System, Information Technology Outreach, and Cybersecurity functions.

Oversees current, future, and proposed Mission System projects that leverage IT resources for connectivity, computing, or data storage. AND B.

For this position, individuals must have IT-related experience, demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • As an IT Program Manager (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Serves as a Supervisory Information Technology Program Manager for assigned duties and projects and manages the implementation and maintenance of the Division's Mission Control System.
  • Oversee all current, future, and proposed IT projects within the Engineering Division's portfolio through assigned project managers.
  • Ensures the operational readiness of a 24/7/365 sensor-based network, industrial control system (ICS), and Network Operations Center (NOC). Defines business continuity scenarios and continuously reviews program readiness level.
  • Formulates long-term strategic plans, budgets, and resource requirements (personnel, funding, facilities) to support program objectives.
  • Drives the full contracting lifecycle, from drafting acquisition documents and evaluating proposals to overseeing vendor performance.
  • Serves as a Branch Chief and first-line supervisor, mentoring and developing a team of civilian and contractor IT professionals.
