In addition to the Basic Competency Requirements listed above, one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12 in the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Providing support services and assisting in resolving complex Information Technology (IT) technical problems in the realm of major applications including installing, maintaining, modifying and testing software products, mobile device management (MDM), contact centers management and applications, video teleconferencing (VTC), telecommunication installation and configurations.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.

** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing.

** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

  • Ensures all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DOD IS and PIT systems under their purview before granting access to those systems.
  • Participates in test readiness reviews and briefs technical and non-technical staff.
  • Performs staff assignments to project planning, monitoring, and/or coordinating systems life cycle functions.
  • Knowledge of the prevailing software development practices and standard in Federal, public and private sector automation to recommend alternative approaches, to resolve difficult programming problems, and to answer technical questions.
