In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is defined as: Analyzing and managing Automated Information System (AIS) account issues, including user access control, troubleshooting, and password management.

Developing guidelines, conducting audits, and ensuring all account management activities comply with DoD policies and regulations.

Evaluating internal management controls, recommending solutions for complex system issues, and safeguarding financial systems against fraud, waste, or abuse Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.

** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing.

** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Conducts analyses and recommend solutions of complex issues affecting account management and internal management controls for assigned financial systems.
  • Build User IDs, provides new passwords, trouble-shoots user accounts, resets passwords, and provide assistance to users experiencing system access problems.
  • Develops system compliance documentation and ensures systems implemented are in compliance with DoD and DFAS account management policies and regulation.
  • Conducts account management evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • Implements project management principles and methods utilizing established analytical methods and practices.
