Full Job Description

The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo).

The incumbent will be responsible for ** Serves as a Cyber Operations Planner within the USTRANSCOM Command, Control, Communications and Cyber Systems Directorate.

You may qualify at the NH 3 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Deploys and analyzes Cyberspace Operations, Defensive Cyberspace Operations, Defensive Cyberspace Force employment, cybersecurity practices, and risk management methodologies.

Develops operational plans, concepts of operations, orders, and Combatant Command (or equivalent) level strategy documents.

Makes recommendations for revising established strategies and plans as necessary to account for the changing nature of cyber threats and vulnerabilities to operations.

Analyzes conflicting or incomplete information to provide senior leader level recommendations Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path.

As a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Participates in Operations Planning Teams (OPTs) to identify/address cyberspace operations requirements/actions in support of global deployment and distribution missions.

Supports USTRANSCOM Joint Planning Teams (JPTs) and participates in the Joint Planning Process to develop USTRANSCOM's plans supporting other Combatant Commands (CCMD).

Provides analysis of operations and exercises sponsored by USTRANSCOM, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), DoD Combatant Commanders, Services and Agencies, other US Government agencies, and allied and international organizations as appropriate.

Provides coordination and technical support for Operational and Fragmentary Orders (OPORDs and FRAGOs) for DCO, OCO and DODIN Ops taskings from DoD, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command (CCMD) HQs.
