This job involves overseeing and supporting cybersecurity for naval ship networks, ensuring they meet security standards and function properly during installations and maintenance on Navy vessels.
You'll coordinate technical checks, lead teams for upgrades, and provide expert advice on network systems for modernizing ships.

You will serve as an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the USQ2 82 Networks Branch (Code 542) in the HM&E NAVIGATION, NETWORK, & AUXIALARY CONTROL SYSTEMS DIV (54) within the HM&E CONTROL, NAVIGATION, NETWORK & CYBER ENGINEERING DEPT of NSWC PHILA DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating Information Technology cybersecurity operations to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures for an organization.
Examples of qualifying experience may include: troubleshooting and maintaining all AN/USQ-82(v) systems, including Data Multiplex System (DMS), Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System (FODMS), First Generation Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (1G GEDMS), and Second Generation Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (2G GEDMS); applying knowledge of DDG 51 class ships and how AN/USQ-82(v) is installed and operates on all flights of DDG 51 class ships; or applying knowledge of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) to support DDG 51 class ships that are in-service during Chief of Naval Operations Ship Availabilities including evaluating Alteration Installation Team quality of wire termination and connections.
Additionally, your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
