Summary

This internship involves helping the Chief of Staff at the City of Indianapolis' Department of Public Works by researching issues, planning projects, and developing strategies to solve complex city problems.

It's a temporary role for students pursuing a bachelor's degree who enjoy independent work and tackling big-picture challenges.

Full Job Description

**This is a temporary/seasonal position.**

Position is responsible for assisting the Chief of Staff in developing strategies to move the city forward and finding solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

Assists in the planning and management of large projects.
Identifies range of possible outcomes for proposed strategies for entire agency.
Researches and reports information necessary to make decisions.
Assists Chief of Staff in daily duties and tasks.

Qualifications

Position is open to students who are currently working toward a bachelor's degree. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to think critically and problem solve. Effective oral and written communication. Ability to prioritize multiple projects. Attention to detail.

Additional Information

Position is expected to work independent of supervision and autonomously to move high level projects to completion with the upmost confidentiality.
