Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineer to design, test, and integrate computer systems that control machinery on naval ships, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets long-term needs.
You'll troubleshoot problems, update software, and oversee how these systems connect with the ship's overall mechanical and electrical setup.
It's a great fit for experienced engineers who enjoy complex technical challenges in a military environment and have a background in ship or machinery systems.
You will serve as an Engineer in the Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Machine Control System Surface Ship Division of NSWC PHILA DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying advanced engineering and scientific theories and principles to develop, design, test, and integrate computer-based Machinery Control Systems for Naval Ships.
